How to play Aces & Eights 10 Hand like a pro

Do you love to play casino card games? If so, you're going to want to learn how to play Aces & Eights 10 Hand like a pro! This game can be a lot of fun and is a great way to pass the time. Plus, if you're good at it, you can win some money too!

Here's how to play:

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible. The player with the highest point total at the end of the game wins. Points are scored by taking cards that add up to ten. For example, an Ace and a nine would score ten points. The first player to reach one hundred points or more wins the game.

The game is played with a regular deck of 52 cards. Each player is dealt ten cards, face down. The remaining cards are placed in a stack in the middle of the players, face down. The top card of this stack is turned over and placed next to the stack as the beginning of the discard pile.

Each player simultaneously turns over one of their cards and places it in front of them on the table. The player with the highest value card (Ace is high) takes the discard pile and sets it aside, face down. If there is a tie for highest value, then both players take the discard pile and set it aside. The turn then passes to the left and each player again turns over one of their cards. If two or more players have equal value cards, then those players all participate in a "flip off" to determine who takes the pot. The players put their hands out flat, face down. They then flip over one card at a time until there is a clear winner - that player takes the pot.

If there are no further valuable cards left in the player's hand after they've flipped over their one card initially, they pull another card from their face-down draw pile and become re-active again on future turns (even if this means they now have two or more active cards). Play then proceeds as normal with any active player taking subsequent turns until they either don't want any more cards or cannot hit 10 pts again even if they wanted more (this could happen if say an ace AND deuce where flipped showing - since 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 JQKA would only add up 8 pts). At that point whoever has taken/turned over/is showing last gets Winning Final Pot

To summarize:

  • In general turn order goes Left (or clockwise), but important when ties for high card happens OR Picking up 2nd discards puts you "back in play"

  • Normal play : As long as your revealed card(s) still add up 10pts or more towards winning.. keep flipping.. until end OR! You stop flipping cuz can't add pts OR opponent has no revealed pt scoring cards left

*Scoring: SCORE : If pt total >0 at end-of-turn snapshot ==> Points made on that turn go towards your Score total (not added onto prior Score). Gameplay continues until someone either makes 100pts+ or runs out of moves given their current revealed card
